Overeaters Anonymous

Yoga Class

A yoga class for people new to yoga, people in treatment for cancer, caregivers or cancer survivors, is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by the UNC Comprehensive Cancer Support Program at Carolina Pointe II, 6011 Farrington Road. Cost is $5 per session.

Breastfeeding Group

Breastfeeding Cafe, an informal drop-in gathering of breastfeeding moms, is from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Red Hen, University Mall, 201 South Estes Drive.

Restorative Yoga

Cornucopia House Cancer Support Center, 5517 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd., offers a free Restorative Yoga class for anyone affected by cancer from 3 to 4:30 p.m. 919-401-9333.

Canine Playtime

The Chapel Hill Small Dog Meetup Group will gather from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Southern Village Dog Park, 1000 Dogwood Acres Drive. For dogs under 25 lbs.

Divorce Support Group

DivorceCare, a seminar and support group offering information in a small-group setting for people experiencing divorce, will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. at Orange United Methodist Church. Book fee is $12, scholarships available. 919-942-2825,

Durham Garden Forum

The Durham Garden Forum will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 16 at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens, 420 Anderson St., Durham. A garden advice fair will be held. Annual membership is $25, or $15 for students.

Cancer Support Program

Microchip Clinic for Cats and Dogs

The Orange County Animal Services Department has a microchip clinic from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Animal Services Center, 1601 Eubanks Road. Microchips are $25 per cat or dog and rabies vaccinations are $10. Microchips contain information that can help return lost animals to their owners.


Benefit Lecture

The Orange County Historical Museum will host Dr. A. Everette James’s lecture, “Let’s Talk North Carolina Pottery,” at 7 p.m. July 19 at Leland Little Auction Gallery, 620 Cornerstone Court, Hillsborough. Cost is $15 in advance; $20 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Orange County Historical Museum. 919-732-2201.
