Jorge S. Gulisano

Mr. Jorge S. Gulisano, 81, of Burlington died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 8pm.

A native of Rosario, Argentina, he was the husband of Nelida Jumilla Gulisano, who survives and the son of Jose Gulisano and Redentora Quiroga Gulisano, both deceased. He served in the military in Argentina. Jorge was an electrician for Coulter Electronics and was of the Catholic faith. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, master barbeque maker and expert fisherman who lived only to take care of his entire family. Jorge exemplified hospitality and loved to entertain. He was a devoted fan of River Plate, a semi-professional soccer player, and an avid tennis player.

In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a son, Jose L. Gulisano and wife Monica of Chapel Hill; daughter, Monica Lyall and husband Sebastian of Burlington; brother, Luis Alberto Gulisano and wife Josefina of Miami, FL; sister, Delia Ana De Domenico and husband Juan Carlos of France; seven grandchildren, Patricia, Ivan, Steven, Amir, Cristian, Arianna and Daniel; four great-grandchildren, Gabriela, Alex, Alena and Eve; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be conducted at St. Thomas-More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. His ashes will be entombed at the columbarium at Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
