A fawn nuzzles its mother Saturday morning along the street in the Heartwood neighborhood on Blackwood Mountain, between Chapel Hill and Hillsborough.

Blackwood Mountain rises 735 feet above sea level.

By comparison. Occoneechee Mountain, the highest point in Orange County, rises 867 feet.
