General Meditation Class

This class for anyone interested in Buddhist meditation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Kosala Buddhist Center, 711 W. Rosemary St., Suite E, Carrboro. Locally Grown Rooftop Music and Movies

Downtown Chapel Hill’s Locally Grown Rooftop Music and Movies series will include a free screening of the movie “Psycho” at 8 p.m. in Wallace Plaza, 150 E. Rosemary St.

Nar-Anon

Nar-Anon is a 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of living with an addicted relative or friend. Back-to-School Day at University Mall

Students and families can meet with representatives from Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University Mall, 201 S. Estes Drive, Chapel Hill. There will also be art activities with Kidzu, personalized binders with the Scrap Exchange, a fashion show, and a drawing for a $500 shopping spree at Dillard’s.

Active Families Day

Orange County SportsPlex will host its second annual Active Families Day of free healthy games and activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 101 Meadowlands Drive.
