Chapel Hill

• Lee Carroll Edwards, 20, of 4209 Willis Road was charged Aug. 5 with possession with intent to sell or deliver MDMA, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and misdemeanor failure to appear, police reported.

• Lavar Devone Brown, 31, of 308 Old School Road was charged Aug. 7 with felony possession of a controlled substance on prison or jail premises and misdemeanor possession of an open container, police reported.

• Alan Joel Harris, 37, of 816 Waring St. Durham was charged Aug. 12 with felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor failure to appear, police reported.

• James Kevin Bates, 32, of Chapel Hill was charged August 10 with felony assault inflicting bodily injury and misdemeanor possession of an open container, police reported.

• Jamar Maleek Baha, 26, of 500 S. Greensboro St. Apt 13 Carrboro was charged Aug. 14 with felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, police reported.

• Police reported break-ins:

- at a business on the 500 block of Long Leaf Drive Aug. 4.

- at a residence on the 100 block of South Graham Street Aug. 5.

- at a residence on the 5600 block of Old Chapel Hill Road Aug. 7.

- at a residence on the 100 block of New Castle Drive Aug. 9.

- at a residence on the 100 block of Wicklow Place Aug. 9.

- to a business on the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Aug. 11.

- to a residence on the 1800 block of Legion Road Aug. 15.

- to a residence on the 100 block of Forsyth Drive Aug. 13.

- to a residence on the 100 block of Oosting Drive Aug. 13.

- to a residence on the 200 block of May Court Aug. 11.

- to a residence on the 100 block of Cobble Ridge Drive Aug. 13.

• Police reported the larceny of a motorcycle valued at $6,000 Aug. 6 from a parking space on Hayes Road.

• Police reported the theft of bicycles from:

- the 100 block of Ridge Trail Aug. 6 from a patio.

- the 400 block of Long Leaf Drive Aug. 4 from a porch.

- the 100 block of North Graham Street Aug. 4 from outside of a business.

- the 1200 block of Cypress Road Aug. 3 from a driveway.

Carrboro

• Police reported a robbery on the 100 block of South Greensboro Street around 3 a.m. Aug. 4 in which the victim was attacked and property taken.

Kevin Frias, 21, was charged Aug. 7 with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony possession of a firearm by a felon, police reported.

• Shawn Michael Gray, 26, was charged Aug. 9 with felony financial card theft, police reported.

• Crisoforo Romero Rodriguez, 27, was charged Aug. 10 with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, police reported.

• Carlos Jimenez-Dominguez, 34, was charged Aug. 12 with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, police reported.

• Michah Christopher Ray Barfield, 18, was charged Aug. 15 with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, police reported.

• Police reported residential break-ins:

- on the 100 block of Rock Haven Road Aug. 5 in which a rock was thrown through a bedroom window to gain entrance and steal property.

- on the 500 block of Jones Ferry Road Aug. 4 or 5.

- on the 100 block of Purple Leaf Place Aug. 3 in which the garage was entered and a bicycle stolen.

- on the 100 block of West Carr Street Aug. 3 in which the home was entered and a bicycle and Ipad stolen.

- on the 200 block of Robert Hunt Drive between July 31 and Aug. 3 in which an open garage door was entered to steal a bicycle.

- on the 100 block of Sunset Ridge Lane Aug. 10 or 11.

- on the 200 block of Broad Street between Aug. 10-13.

- on the 100 block of Mulberry Street Aug. 12 or 13.

- on the 100 block of Barbee Court Aug. 13.

- on the 100 block of Chaucer Court Aug. 13.

- on the 500 block of Smith Level Road Aug. 14 or 15.

• Police reported a break-in to a business on the 600 block of Jones Ferry Road Aug. 9.

• Police reported break-ins to several vehicles between Aug. 2-5 on the 100 block of Lloyd Street.

Hillsborough Area

• Frank Devar Degraffenried, 18, was charged Aug. 6 with felony armed robbery, police reported.

• Jerome Jerell Jackson, 19, of 1400 Birkdale Circle Mebane was charged Aug. 12 with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony possession of a firearm by a felon and felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, police reported.

• Brandon Monterr Whitted, 21, was charged Aug. 13 with felony fleeing to elude arrest, felony possession of a firearm by a felon and felony probation violation out of county, police reported.

• Police reported break-ins:

- to an unlocked residence on the 5600 block of Cedar Valley Drive in the Cedar Grove area August 5 in which the home was entered and a television valued at $450 stolen.

- to a locked residence on the 4700 block of Kerley Road near Durham County August 2 in which the door was pried open and jewelry, coins and dishes valued at $1,050 stolen.

- to an unlocked residence on the 4600 block of Nicks Road near Alamance County August 2 in which several firearms valued at $6, 220 were stolen.

Police reported break-ins:

- to a business on the 4700 block of West Ten Road August 15 in which the property was entered to steal generators, tools, cash and food valued at $6,862.

- to a structure on the 800 block of Bethel Hickory Church Road in the Chapel Hill area August 14 in which yard tools valued at $3,800 were stolen.

- to a structure on the 3500 block of West Ten Road August 11 in which yard tools valued at $1,714 stolen.

- at a residence on the 6500 block of Deerview Lane near Durham County August 10 in which an attempt to enter was made.
