Elizabeth Batten Kopp and Robert Tyler Brown were married at 5:00 o’clock on July 13, 2013 in Chapel Hill. The Reverend Tambria Elizabeth Lee officiated in the ceremony, which took place in the chapel at The Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church. A reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Vincent Joseph Kopp of Chapel Hill. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Hugh Craft, Sr. and the late Mr. Craft of Greensboro and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Clifford Kopp of Pinehurst. The groom is the son of Mrs. Meryl Albert Brown and the late Dr. Robert Forest Brown. He is the grandson of Mrs. Robert W. Brown and the late Mr. Brown and of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Coburn of Ahoskie. The maid of honor was Katherine Whalen Kopp, twin sister of the bride, of Savannah, Ga. Bridesmaids were Margaret Brantley Kopp, sister of the bride, of Chapel Hill, and Meredith Ann Brown, sister of the groom, of Rochester, NY. The best man was Palmer Tracey Heenan III of Washington, DC. Other groomsmen were William Hamilton Hume McLean of Chapel Hill and Aubrey Martin Sharp of Nags Head. Readers were Claire Dickens Craft of Chapel Hill, cousin of the bride, and Kirk Francis of Falls Church, Va., friend of the bride and groom. Program attendants were Mary Kathryn Craft, Rebecca Anne Craft and Phoebe Barret Craft of Greensboro, cousins of the bride. The bride is a graduate of Saint James School in Maryland and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She was presented at the Terpsichorean Club’s North Carolina Debutante Ball in 2005. She is a student in the masters of occupational therapy program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. The groom is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School in Orange, Virginia and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He is the senior manage for interactive marketing for The Century Council in Washington, D.C.After a honeymoon trip to Montreal and Maine, the couple resides in Richmond, Va.
