Chapel Hill

• Kevone Aparcia Best, 27, of 200 Westminster Drive Apt E59, was charged Sept. 12 with three counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, felony maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances, felony possession of marijuana and felony manufacturing drugs, police reported.

• Police reported residential break-ins:

– on the 1600 block of Ephesus Church Road Sept. 12 in which the glass in the door was shattered and a window busted out.

– on the 1600 block of Ephesus Church Road Sept. 12 in which the home was entered through an unlocked door and electronics and tools were taken.

– on the 2700 block of Homestead Road Sept. 10 in which a camera was taken.

– on the 400 block of Nottingham Drive Sept. 10 in which an open garage door was entered.

• Police reported a break-in at a business on the 700 block of Market Street in Southern Village Sept. 11 in which a rock was thrown through a window and cash taken.

• Police reported vehicle break-ins:

- on the 1800 block of Fordham Boulevard Sept. 11.

- on the 7500 block of Merritt Mill Road Sept. 10.

- on the 1200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Sept. 9.

- on the 100 block of Nottingham Drive Sept. 9.

• Police reported a pair of automobile thefts between Sept. 8 and Sept. 9 in which one motor vehicle was taken from a company parking lot on Merritt Mill Road and another was taken from a parking area on the 300 block of Lindsey Street.

Carrboro

• Police reported a robbery on the 200 block of East Main Street around 2:30 a.m. Sept. 12 in which the victim was beaten with a stick and robbed.

• Police reported residential break-ins:

- on the 600 block of Jones Ferry Road Sept. 10

- on the 100 block of BPW Club Road Sept. 10

• Police reported vehicle break-ins:

- on the 100 block of N.C. 54 Sept. 9

- on the 100 block of Alabama Avenue Sept. 7.

Hillsborough area

• William Douglass Gourley, Jr., 43 was charged Aug. 29 with felony first-degree burglary and felony attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, police reported.

• Frankie Lavar Hatfield, 29, was charged Aug. 29 with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana and felony sell or deliver marijuana, police reported.

• Wallace Neville Cox, 62, was charged Aug. 26 with felony felonious restraint and misdemeanor assault on a female, police reported.

• Paul David Burgess, Jr., 40, was charged Aug. 26 with felony failure to register as a sex offender, felony breaking and entering, felony probation violation and misdemeanor larceny, police reported.

• Jerome Norman McPherson, 62, was charged Sept. 10 with felony sexual offense with a child, police reported.

• Chastiny Laveron Harrelson, 27, was charged Sept. 10 with felony failure to appear on a felony, police reported.

• Jonathan Wayne Stollard, 28, was charged Sept. 9 with felony failure to register as a sex offender and felony probation violation, police reported.

• Police reported residential break-ins:

- on the 1600 block of Daniels Farm Road Sept. 11.

- on the 5500 block of Old Hillsborough Road Sept. 11.

- on the 1000 block of Hillside Drive in the Chapel Hill area Sept. 9.

- on the 4800 block of Eno Woods Trail Sept. 9.

- on the 600 block of Old School Road Sept. 8.

• Police reported the larceny of a motor vehicle from alongside U.S. 70 West Sept. 8
