Police arrest woman in Chapel Hill shooting

— Chapel Hill police arrested a second suspect Wednesday in connection with a man shot multiple times Friday on West Rosemary Street.

The 31-year-old victim, Ishamel David Hamilton Jr., is in stable condition at UNC Hospitals, police reported. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Nasheka Renee Clark, 36, was charged Wednesday with one felony count of being an accessory after the fact to attempted first-degree murder, police reported. She was being held at the Orange County Jail under a $250,000 secured bail.

Clark also uses the name Nasheka Hamilton, police reported.

Another suspect, Dennis Junious Clark, 23, turned himself in Monday at the Orange County Jail on a charge of attempted first-degree murder. He is being held under a $500,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Monday in Hillsborough.

Clark, whose last known address was in Chapel Hill, is accused of shooting Hamilton multiple times around 6:30 p.m. Friday in a downtown parking lot beside Tate Realty and Construction Co. and Legacy Cuts hair salon, 342 W. Rosemary St.
