Alliance wins ASL title

With eight players from Chapel Hill-Carrboro schools, the Triangle Football Club's N.C. Alliance team recently won the Atlantic Soccer League division championship at the Disney Showcase in Orlando, Fla.

Three of the girls play on the Carrboro High School varsity soccer team: Alliance captain Emma Houser; Caroline Houser and Leah Simon.

East Chapel Hill's varsity was represented by 2014 Lenior-Rhyne signee Dylan Bedell, junior Emma Daum and alumna Blakeney Blair.

Chapel Hill had Frances Reuland and junior Mia Spencer in the Alliance.
