A blast of British: Living History Day

The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough last Saturday commemorated the occupation of Hillsborough by British General Lord Charles Cornwallis and his 1,900-man army on Feb. 20, 1781, near the end of the Revolutionary War. Cornwallis came to Hillsborough to rest his men and to enlist loyalists but left after six days, largely unsuccessful.
