In honor of the Chapel Hill High School girls basketball team, the CHHS student government will host a tailgate before Saturday’s N.C. High School Athletics Association state championship game.

The tailgate will start at 3 p.m. in the Skipper Bowles parking lot outside the Smith Center. (The Bowles lot is located on the west side of Skipper Bowles Drive as you approach the Smith Center from Manning Drive.)

At the tailgate, burgers, hot dogs and condiments will be provided. Tailgaters should bring their own drinks and any extra side dishes they want.

Parking will be $10 per car, but the tailgate will be free for any Chapel Hill fans who wish to participate.

Following the tailgate, Chapel Hill (31-0) is scheduled to play Hickory (29-0) at 5 p.m. in the Smith Center for the 3A state championship.
