The Carrboro Farmers’ Market is open from 3-6 p.m. Wednesdays in the Carrboro Town Commons, beside Town Hall at 301 W. Main St.

Optimist Club

The Optimist Club of Chapel Hill meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first, second and third Wednesdays of the month at the Bob Evans restaurant, 5419 Chapel Hill Blvd., Durham. New members are welcome.

General Meditation Class

Southern Village Farmer’s Market

The Southern Village Farmer’s Market will be open from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at 650 Market St., Chapel Hill.

Financial workshop

Steve Peck, a historian and Alliance for Historic Hillsborough volunteer, will lead Ghosts of the Confederacy, an hour-long tour of the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church cemetery at 10 a.m. Tickets cost $5 at the Hillsborough Visitors Center, 150 E.
