Ask the funeral home to fax a death notice to (919) 968-4953. Obits may also be submitted online or emailed to chnclerk@nando.com. Obituaries must be received by 10 a.m. Friday for Wednesday’s edition and by 11 a.m. Thursday for Sunday’s edition. We do not charge for obituary notices, but we do edit them following a format. Please include date and place of death, age of deceased, a brief summary of details about the deceased, and survivors in the immediate family (spouse, children, parents, brothers and sisters) and where they live.How do I get a letter to the editor published?Letters that endorse political candidates are limited to 100 words or less. The News reserves the right to edit submissions to fit the 100-word limit. We cannot guarantee that letters received after Oct. 28 will be published.
