Hillsborough United Church of Christ, 200 Davis Road, will hold its Palm Sunday creative movement procession on Sunday.

Purim puppets and potluck dinner
The Triangle Congregation for Humanistic Judaism will hold a Purim potluck dinner for members and guests on Sunday at Eno River Unitarian Universalist Church, Fellowship Hall, 4907 Garrett Road, Durham.
Purim games begin at 4 p.m., along with a Special Member Meeting and service. A puppet show will begin at 5:30 p.m., and a potluck dinner at 6:45 p.m.

Amity series to study meaning of Methodism
The Rev. Verson Tyson will lead a series called "What Does It Mean to Be a Methodist Christian in 2008" on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at Amity United Methodist Church, 825 Estes Drive.
The series will continue through April 29.
The Palm Sunday worship service will be Sunday at 11 a.m. Sunday School starts at 9:45 a.m.
A revival, "3 Nights 4 God," led by Bishop Marion Edwards, will be held Sunday through Tuesday at 7 p.m. each night. Sunday's service will focus on youth, Monday's on men, and Tuesday's on women, but everyone is invited to attend each night.
Edwards served as bishop of the N.C. Conference of the United Methodist Church from 1996 to 2004. He was instrumental in the establishment of the United Methodist Church's Russian Seminary in Moscow. The Marion Edwards Recovery Center Initiative in Goldsboro, which works to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by disaster, poverty or adversity, is named in his honor. He serves as bishop-in-residence at LaGrange College, in LaGrange, Ga.

Talk focuses on declassified files
The Triangle Seminar for Jewish Studies will present "From the Declassified Files of WWII and the Holocaust," by Gerhard L. Weinberg, William Rand Kenan Jr. professor of history emeritus at UNC, on Monday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the National Humanities Center in Research Triangle Park.
Weinberg is chair of the Committee on Declassification. He will discuss new information regarding Palestine from the files.

Binkley Baptist to host ecumenical labyrinth
Binkley Baptist Church, 1712 Willow Drive, holds regular worship services each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Church school starts at 9:30 a.m.
Binkley will host the Holy Week Ecumenical Labyrinth, sponsored by eight Chapel Hill churches, beginning Sunday at 4 p.m. The labyrinth will remain open through March 21. The Contemplative Prayer Group meets each Monday morning at 9:15 in the Binkley chapel.
Spring Adult Christian Classes are held each Sunday through May at 9:30 a.m. Classes include "Re-Thinking Basic Beliefs," "An Active Faith in Daily Life," "Emmaus Class" and "Learning About the Twelve Steps."

Palm Sunday service will begin outside
Sunday worship services at the United Church of Chapel Hill, 1321 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., are held at 8:45 and 11 a.m. This Sunday's Palm Sunday service will begin outside under the canopy, weather permitting.
The Children's Choir will sing at the 8:45 a.m. service. The Chancel Choir will sing at the 11 a.m. service.
During the church school hour beginning at 10 a.m. there will be an inter-generational Holy Week workshop in the Fellowship Hall.
Iglesia Unida, the Spanish language worship service, will be at 11 a.m. in the new assembly hall in the west wing of the building.
United Church's evening worship Sunday at 5 p.m. reflects the musical diversity of the congregation. The Rev. Rich Edens will lead the service, with music provided by the United Church Instrumental Ensemble, in the new assembly hall.
The Monday Noon Book Group will meet Monday to discuss "God and Empire," by John Dominic Crossan. A video called "Eclipsing Empire," with Crossan and Marcus Born, will be shown to introduce the book. Copies of the book are available at the church for $12.
