Grace Church in Chapel Hill will host its 4th Annual Grace Mart Food and Clothing Giveaway from July 30 Aug. 1.

Thousands of items -- from furniture and back to school supplies, to clothing and food -- will be offered free of charge to the residents of the Triangle struggling in the recent economic conditions.

"We were very excited to serve more than 1,200 people in our event last year, and are looking forward to an even greater turnout this year," said Kendrick Vinar, senior pastor at Grace.

The event will be held today, Thursday and Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Items are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis and are available until supplies run out. Spanish translation for Latino attendees will also be available.

Grace Church is at 200 Sage Road.

The church holds services Sundays at 9:15 and 11 a.m.
