Most Popular

The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until approximately noon. Presented by the Chapel Hill Jaycees, the parade will make its way down Franklin Street in Chapel Hill to Main Street in Carrboro.

Parking specials will be in place in downtown Chapel Hill for the parade and on Saturdays throughout the holiday season.

Parking on Saturday will be free until 5 p.m. in the Wallace Parking Deck at 150 E. Rosemary St. and Parking Lot 2 at 100 E. Rosemary St.

Parking also will be free at on-street meters and at Parking Lot 3 at 415 W. Franklin St. and Parking Lot 5 at 141 W. Rosemary St. on Dec. 20 and Dec. 27. In addition, parking coupons for one hour of free parking in the Wallace Parking Deck or Parking Lot 2 will be distributed by downtown merchants. The coupons will be valid through Dec. 30.
