Haesu Jin, a senior violist from Chapel Hill High School, performed Feb. 29 in Albuquerque as a member of the National Honors Orchestra.

She joined 120 other students from around the United States in a concert at the Kiva Convention Center. The orchestra was under the direction of Jung Ho Pak and performed "Romeo and Juliet" by Tschaikovsky, "West Side Story Dances" by Leonard Bernstein and "Capulets" by Prokiev.

The students performed for the audience in Albuquerque and the American String Teachers Convention. Haesu is a private viola student of Petra Beranyi and plays in the Chapel Hill High School Orchestra directed by Barbara Smith.
