Craig Burkhart

Jena Ivey and Craig Nathaniel Burkhart were married May 2, 2009, at Blacknall Presbyterian Church in Durham. Pastor Allan Poole officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jeanne and Harold Ivey of Chadbourn. She has a doctorate in pharmacy and is a clinical assistant professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

The groom is the son of Dr. Craig and Kristina Burkhart of Toledo, Ohio. He has a medical degree from University of Toledo and is a clinical assistant professor in the dermatology department at UNC Hospitals.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Adrienne I. Roberson of Fletcher.

Bridesmaids were Megan Smith of Julian and Amanda Thompson of Fuquay-Varina.

Best man was Dr. Aaron Wever of Concord.

Ushers were Michael Farrell of Longwood, Fla., and Mathew Roberson of Fletcher.

Ring bearer was Master Kian Farrell of Longwood, Fla.

Music was provided by David Stuntz on organ, Leah Masselink on violin and Janet Stolp as vocalist.

A reception was hosted by the bride's parents at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill.

Following a Mediterranean cruise, the couple will live in Chapel Hill.
