Rebecca Elizabeth Werner and Benjamin Keith Thompson were married March 15 at Chapel of the Cross in Chapel Hill. The Rev. Tambria E. Lee officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bea Hughes-Werner and Arthur Werner of Chapel Hill. She received a bachelor's degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and works at Quintiles.

The groom is the son of Rachel and Keith Thompson of Wilmington. He received a bachelor's degree from N.C. State University and plans to graduate from the UNC School of Law in May.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Leni Strauss of Chapel Hill. Bridesmaids were Leslie Barnes and Kristen Kelley, both of Rocky Mount, Jennifer Bennett of Wilmington, Anna Burkhead and Heather Honeycutt, both of Charlotte, Morgan Lasater of New Bern and Kelley McCall of Centerville, Va. Junior bridesmaids were Geneva and Gabriella Walata of Chapel Hill.

Best man was the father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Ryan Byrnes and Kent Warren, both of Greensboro, Drew Magaziner of Philadelphia, Dean Powell of Hickory, Bradley Sutton of Wilmington, and Andrew Wagoner and Jake Werner, both of Chapel Hill.

Flower girl was Isabella Walata of Chapel Hill.

A reception at the Carolina Inn was hosted by the bride's parents.

Following a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple will live in Atlanta.
