Nicole Marie Runge and Jed Daniel D'Ercole were married Oct. 27, 2007, at St. Peter's Church on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The Rev. Bill Hegedusich officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Donna Runge of Des Moines, Iowa. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa and is managing director of finance and marketing for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The groom is the son of Joseph and Virginia D'Ercole of Chapel Hill. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is legislative director for U.S. Rep. Brad Ellsworth of Evansville, Ind.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Erik Runge of San Antonio, Texas, brother of the bride, served as her "man of honor."

Best man was Ethan D'Ercole of Chicago, brother of the groom.

Ushers were Stephen Bastasch of New York City, Ameya Bijoor of Boston, Ryan Cox of St. Louis and Richard Stasica of Chicago.

Sacred music was provided by a string quartet.

A reception hosted by the bride's parents took place at the Josephine Butler Park Center in Washington, D.C.

Following a wedding trip to South Africa, the couple lives in Washington, D.C.
