Carly Victoria Batchelor and James Jay Nunalee Jr. were married March 29 at Ocean Isle Beach. The Rev. Merlin Boone officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jill and Ken Batchelor of Chapel Hill. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education and is director of operations for Roger Bacon Academy.

The groom is the son of Phyllis and James Jay Nunalee of Wilmington. He received a doctorate in pharmacy from UNC-Chapel Hill and is a pharmacist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Emma Charlotte Batchelor of Charleston, S.C.

Bridesmaids were Allison Biggar of Los Angeles; Caitlyn Carroll of Beaufort, S.C.; Annie Balcerzak of Owings Mills, Mass.; Clare Causton of Wallington, England; Amy Mackey of Chapel Hill; Sonia Vikan of Baltimore; and Melissa Schosek and Anna Ryan Lonborg, both of Wilmington.

Best man was the groom's father.

Ushers were Adam Batchelor of Atlanta and Chris Nunalee, Rudy Dombrowski, Randy Rose, Adam Poore, J.D. Terry, Brian Ensign and Ben Schosek, all of Wilmington.

Flower girls were Etta and Mary Helen Elliott, both of Charleston, S.C.

Music was performed by Brent Fields on the organ.

A reception was held at The Isles restaurant in Ocean Isle Beach.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will live in Wrightsville Beach.
