Angeline B. Madrid and Keith B. Wiley were married June 28 at the Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle. Ben Andrews officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bernadette and Art Melvin of Albuquerque, N.M., and Joe and Norma Madrid of Las Vegas, Nev. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico and is a doctoral candidate in theoretical chemistry at the University of Washington.
The groom is the son of Minna and Haven Wiley of Carrboro. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a doctorate in computer science from the University of New Mexico. He is a software engineer at the University of Washington.
The bride was escorted by her father, Joe Madrid.
Witnesses were Aleta Wiley, sister of the groom, of Arlington, Va., and Jasmin Stewart of Albuquerque, N.M.
Recorded music composed by the groom was presented by Steve Madrid, brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Center for Wooden Boats. The couple lives in Seattle and welcomes visits from all Chapel Hill High School classmates and friends.
