Katherine Boone Sidebottom and George Lee Simpson IV were married May 17 at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Chapel Hill.

The Reverend Stephen Elkins-Williams officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Nancy Whitley Sidebottom and William Jeffrey Sidebottom of Lancaster, Pa. She graduated from St. Andrews School in Middletown, Del., and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a vice president with Parish Capital Advisors in Chapel Hill.

The groom is the son of Nancy Barrett Simpson and George Lee Simpson III of Raleigh. He graduated from St. Andrews School in Middletown, Del., the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the UNC School of Law. He is an attorney with Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog in Raleigh.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Mary Winston Davis Nicklin of Alexandria, Va. Matron of honor was Lisa Fryer Tuiasosopo of Dublin, Calif.

Bridesmaids were Barrett Simpson Brewer, sister of the groom, of Raleigh; Pringle Claypoole Jackson of Chicago; Pembry Elizabeth Keller of New York; Kristin Elaine Latimer of Evanston, Ill.; and Amy Hough Piland of Raleigh.

Flower girl was Catherine Campbell Brewer, niece of the groom, of Raleigh.

Best man was the groom's father.

Ushers were Curtis Claude Brewer IV, brother-in-law of the groom, of Raleigh; James Bell Black IV of Raleigh; John Crawford Fleming of Raleigh; James Gregory Newton of Raleigh; James Greer Vanderberry Jr. of Raleigh; and Frank Marshall Wall of Raleigh.

Ring bearer was William Smith Brewer, nephew of the groom, of Raleigh.

Organ music was provided by Wylie S. Quinn III, trumpet music by Paul Neebe and vocals by Elizabeth Terry

A reception given by the bride's parents was held at The Carolina Club in Chapel Hill, with entertainment by Black and Blue.

Following a wedding trip to the islands of Nevis and St. Barths, the couple will live in Raleigh.
