Erica Zimmerman and Brian Hertzberg were married July 5 at Chestnut Ridge Country Club in Lutherville, Md. Rabbi Floyd Herman officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Sheryl Zimmerman and Philip Sloane of Chapel Hill and Neal Zimmerman and Beverly Zimmerman of Baltimore, Md.

She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a science teacher at Smith Middle School in Chapel Hill.

The groom is the son of Michael Hertzberg and Barbara Hertzberg of Chapel Hill.

He is a graduate of Duke University and is a medical student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Neal Zimmerman.

Maids of honor were Rachel Zimmerman, sister of the bride, and Klara Stephens.

Bridesmaids were Stephanie Phillips, Megan Auten, Alexandra Epstein and Mary Beth Patterson.

Best men were Andrew and Jeffrey Hertzberg, brothers of the groom.

Ushers were Ryan Zimmerman, brother of the bride; Lee Kornfeld; Christopher Fielding Calloway; and Skip Murphy.

A reception was held at Chestnut Ridge Country Club.

The couple took a wedding trip to Wrightsville Beach. They live in Carrboro.
