Megan Leigh Parpart and Durward Belcher Williams were married Sept. 27 at The Church of the Holy Family in Chapel Hill.
The Rev. Timothy Kimbrough officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Joseph Parpart Jr., and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wythe Thomas Bennett and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Joseph Parpart Sr., all of Richmond, Va.
The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Durward Robert Williams of Chapel Hill and the grandson of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Martin Crosby Yongue of Charlotte, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Durward Rupert Williams of Chevy Chase, Md.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Mary Leslie Parpart Friday, sister of the bride, of Richmond, Va.
Bridesmaids were Julia Parpart Baker, cousin of the bride, of Richmond, Va.; Durann Yongue Williams, sister of the groom, of Charlotte; and Shannon Marshall Ikenberry of Lexington, Va.
Best man was the groom’s father.
Groomsmen were Myatt Martin Williams, brother of the groom, of Durham; Henry Clifton Ferrell III of Wilmington; and Rodney Lee Oakley of Raleigh.
Ring bearers were Myatt Crosby Williams and Nicolas Kyle Williams, nephews of the groom, of Durham.
Readings were given by Catherine Fay Parpart, aunt of the bride, of Richmond, Va., and Richard Kain Nowalk of Raleigh.
Program attendants were Jack Parpart Baker, cousin of the bride, of Richmond, Va., Kathryn Victoria Williams, cousin of the groom, of Piscataway, N.J.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Pope Stadium Box at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill. The bride’s sister hosted a bridal luncheon at the Weathervane Restaurant.
The reception was held at the Chapel Hill Country Club.
