Amy Burgess Smialowicz and Rhulon Todd Fowler were married on Oct. 11, 2008, at Blackberry Cove in Weaverville, N.C.

The Rev. Virginia Taylor of Chapel Hill officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Ralph and Susan Smialowicz of Chapel Hill. She graduated from Chapel Hill High School and Mars Hill College and works as a public relations coordinator for CarePartners Health Services in Asheville, N.C.

The groom is the son of Rhulon and Joyce Fowler of Burlington. He graduated from Williams High School in Burlington and Appalachian State University. He is self-employed in Asheville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Kate Guzy of Arden, N.C.

Bridesmaids were Anne Baird of Woodbridge, Va.; Emily Carter of Knoxville, Tenn.; and Emma Aasland, the groom's niece, of Asheville.

Best man was Rhulon Fowler.

Groomsmen were Erik Aasland, the groom's brother-in-law of Asheville, and Jody Kuhne of Asheville.

Ushers were Chris Martens of Portland, Ore., and J.T. Black of Asheville.

Music was provided by the Barrel House Mamas.

The bride's parents hosted a reception and dinner at the Fields of Blackberry Cove in Weaverville.

The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner and party at City Bakery in Asheville.

Following a wedding trip to Sullivan's Island, S.C., the couple will live in Asheville.

Andrew J. Greenberg

Tracy Elizabeth Brown and Andrew John Greenberg were married on Oct. 18, 2008, at The Carolina Club in Chapel Hill.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia Brown and Dennis Brown of Chapel Hill. She has a bachelor's degree in zoology from N.C. State University and a bachelor's degree in nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill. She works as a registered nurse at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

The groom is the son of Nancy Greenberg and the late Marc Greenberg of Chapel Hill. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from Univeristy of Colorado. He works as real estate broker for Zamias Services Inc.

Maid of honor was Nancy Brown, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Julie Caldwell, Jaime Martini, Laura McKenzie, Susan Oliver and Kristen Rauch.

Flower girls were Ella Flynn, niece of the bride; and Grace Greenberg, niece of the groom.

Best men were Jeffrey Greenberg and Scott Greenberg, brothers of the groom.

Groomsmen were Robert Costa, Peter Douglas, Jay Pederson, Richard Salmony and William Wallace.

Ushers were Chris Flynn and Shaun Flynn, brothers of the bride; Connor Flynn, nephew of the bride; and Pablo Garcia, nephew of the groom.

Special music for the wedding ceremony was provided by Allen Dawson.

A reception was held at The Carolina Club in Chapel Hill.

Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will live in Raleigh.
