Lee Gravely Frankstone

Becky Siler Sands of Bradford, Ark. and Donald Eugene Sands of Helena, Ark., announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Elizabeth Sands, to Lee Gravely Frankstone. He is the son of Frances Carrington Gravely and David R. Frankstone of Chapel Hill.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Adred Glosson Siler and Carl William Siler (deceased) of Bradford, Ark., Mr. and Mrs. Henry S. Thompson of Opelika, Ala., and Jim H. Sands of Lexa, Ark. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in advertising and German. She is presently pursuing a master's degree in business administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The groom-elect's grandparents are Lloyd Lee Gravely (deceased) and Mrs. Lee Stevens Gravely of Rocky Mount, and Edward Raymond Frankstone (deceased) and Grace Venable Frankstone (deceased) of Columbia, S.C., and Chapel Hill.

He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering. He is employed at VIETRI, Inc.

The wedding ceremony will be June 27, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Cross in Chapel Hill. A reception will follow at the Carolina Inn.
