CHAPEL HILL -- Orange County's Animal Services Department will hold its first annual Spring Cookout on Saturday, May 31, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Animal Shelter.

The event is free and open to the public, and will have entertainment for all. Features include a scavenger hunt with prizes, free hot dogs and drinks and, of course, adoptable animals. Live music will be performed throughout the day by two local bands, Teresa Williams and Puritan Rodeo.
