CARRBORO
  • A common-law robbery was reported Friday. According to a police report, a man was walking down Main Street when he was hit on the back of the head with a beer bottle and someone took $44 in cash from his wallet.
  • Michael Delworth Hoskins, 38, of the streets of Carrboro, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first- and second-degree burglary. He was held in Orange County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

CHAPEL HILL
  • Lenetta Lashone Thompson, 34, of 707 Pritchard Ave., was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny, simple assault, resisting arrest and cruelty to animals. She was held in Orange County jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.
  • Salvador Alcala Calub, 32, of 210 Pinegate Circle, was arrested Thursday and charged with driving while impaired. According to a police report, he was involved in a single-vehicle wreck. His blood-alcohol content was 0.16. He was released on a written promise to appear.
  • Portia Dejeannette Bright, 22, of 6006 Acorn Road, was arrested Wednesday at a traffic stop and charged with armed robbery. She was held in Orange County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
  • Anthony Ravon Ruffin, 25, of 924 Autumn Drive, Greenville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with armed robbery, identity theft and possession of stolen goods. He was held in Orange County jail in lieu of $175,000 bail.
  • Newman McMurray Delaney, 19, of 295 Ridge Road, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of indecent exposure, underage consumption and drunk and disruptive behavior. He was held in Orange County jail in lieu of $200 bail.
