CARRBORO
- A 76-year-old Carrboro woman reported to police that a man she didn't know threw coffee onto her back Tuesday. The woman told police that as she was walking near Panzanella Restaurant when a man threw coffee at her and walked away.
- Julien Marie Luc Finet, 26, of 303 Westbrook Drive, was arrested Wednesday and charged with driving while impaired. According to a police report, Finet's blood-alcohol level was 0.08, which is the state standard for impairment. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.
- A 69-year-old woman was injured early Friday morning near the Harris Teeter in Carrboro. According to a police report, a man found the woman sitting in parking lot bleeding from the head. She said she had been struck while trying to walk to the store but wasn't sure if it had been by a person or a car. She had a deep laceration and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
- A vehicle break-in was reported at the KFC on East Main Street.
CHAPEL HILL
- Molly Patricia Lipp, 24, of 1501 Colendale Ave. in Durham, was arrested Tuesday on East Franklin Street and charged with speeding and driving while impaired. According to a police report, Lipp's blood-alcohol level was 0.17. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.
- Emily Ann Lane, 20, 190 Summerwalk Circle, was arrested Wednesday and charged with driving while impaired, reckless driving and drinking and driving as a provisional licensee. According to a police report, Lane was taken to UNC Hospitals for treatment.
- A Chapel Hill man reported to police Thursday that his car had been stolen. According to a police report, the man told Chapel Hill police that his 2005 silver Nissan had been taken from the driveway of his Galway Drive residence.
- Natalie Nicole Mayshak, 22, 1441 Bungalow Ave., Durham, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while impaired. According to a police report, her blood-alcohol level was 0.14. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.
- Home break-ins were reported last week on Old Oxford Road East, Silver Creek Trail, Laura May Lane, Mason Farm Road, Purefoy Road and Kingswood Apartments on N.C. 54.
- Three vehicle break-ins were reported on Easttowne Drive, and others were reported on Johnson Street, Schultz Street, at UNC University Career Services on U.S. 15-501 and at the Jiffy Lube nearby, also on U.S. 15-501.
