The Hillsborough Police Department is offering educational seminars in the time that it takes to eat lunch.

Businesses and other organizations may schedule a one-hour seminar during their lunch hour at a place of their choice or at the Community Policing Substation. They may choose a topic of their own or select from one of the following:

  • Identity theft and identifying fraudulent documents, such as checks, drivers licenses and American Express cheques
  • Business and personal security
  • Internet security, safety and fraud
  • Workplace/domestic violence
  • Crime prevention
  • Substance abuse and gang activity
Those interested should contact Officer Willoughby at 732-2441, ext. 24, to schedule a topic, date and time for their seminar. Participants should bring a lunch.

The Community Policing Substation is at 501 Rainey St., Hillsborough.
