  • Carmen Denise Gaby, 36, of 108 Bassett Hall Drive in Durham, was arrested Saturday on Smith Level Road and charged with driving while impaired. According to a police report, her blood-alcohol level was 0.14. The state standard is 0.08. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.
  • Jack Anthony Mootz, 59, of 4712 Dairyland Road in Hillsborough, was arrested Saturday on N.C. 54 near West Main Street and charged with driving while impaired. According to a police report, his blood-alcohol level was 0.10. He was held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $200 bail.
  • Marcelino Castillo Izaguirre, 28, of 200 Barnes St. H14, was arrested Sunday on Pleasant Drive and charged with driving while impaired. According to a police report, Izaguirre's blood-alcohol level was 0.12. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

CHAPEL HILL
  • Joseph Siblet Dorton III, 51, of 11 Burnwood Place, was arrested Friday morning near the Friday Center on N.C. 54 and charged with driving while impaired. According to police reports, Dorton rear-ended another car at Meadowmont around 10 a.m., causing some damage to the victim's vehicle and $2,000 of damage to his own. Police determined his blood-alcohol level to be 0.12, and he was released on a written promise to appear in court.
  • Marbin Guitierrez-Diaz, 23, of 107 Sue Ann Court B, was arrested Saturday morning on Pritchard Avenue Extension and charged with driving while impaired and driving with a suspended license. According to a police report, he refused a blood-alcohol test and was released on a written promise to appear in court.
  • Keith Michael Ladner, 28, of 302 Copperline Drive J, was arrested Saturday evening at his home and charged with felonious larceny, assault on a female and damaging personal property, according to a police report. He was held in Orange County Jail without bond.
  • Michael Orlando Hunter, 27, of 4142 Wallingford Place in Durham; Terry Lamont Quick, 25, of 1232 Southpoint Crossing in Durham; and Quanterio Yarborough, 19, of 56 Celtic Drive in Durham, were arrested Saturday during a traffic stop on East Franklin Street and charged with breaking and entering a vehicle, possession of stolen property and larceny. According to police reports, Yarborough was driving and faces additional charges of speeding and driving with a revoked license, while Hunter had warrants for his arrest in Durham County (resisting a public officer) and Wake County (larceny). All three were held in Orange County Jail with Hunter's bail set at $6,250 and Quick's and Yarborough's set at $6,000.
  • Maurice Antonio Powell, 23, of 4907 Governor Sanford Road in Efland, was arrested Saturday night on Culbreth Road and charged with driving while impaired and driving with a suspended license, according to a police report. He was released after posting $500 bail.
  • Tiffany Laveka Lacy, 36, of 500 Sykes St. B, was arrested Saturday night at her home and charged with three counts of assault on a government official as well as three counts of resisting arrest, according to a police report. She was held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
  • Quinte Montis Smith, 31, of 2 Sima St. B in Durham, was arrested Sunday night at the corner of South Elliott Road and East Franklin Street and charged with driving while impaired, driving with a suspended license and speeding. According to a police report, Smith was clocked at 67 miles per hour in a 35-mph zone and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.13. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.
  • Home break-ins were reported over the weekend on Cedar Hills Circle, Ephesus Church Road and West Rosemary Street. Vehicle break-ins were reported on Kensington Drive, East Rosemary Street, at the N.C. 54 park and ride lot and twice on Summerwalk Circle.
