  • Samuel Aquino Sanchez, 23, of 1105 N.C. 54 West Unit Q3, was arrested Wednesday and charged with driving while impaired, according to a police report.
  • Alex Daniel Borowski, 17, of 106 Majestic Court, was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of stolen goods, according to a police report.
  • A goose was found with a fish hook in its neck on a pond near N.C. 54 on Thursday. According to a police report, an officer caught the goose, removed the hook, and released it into the pond.
  • A man reported that he was assaulted by his brother and his cousin Friday on Hillsborough Road. According to a police report, the man told police that "his brother always bosses him around and he decided not to listen to him." No charges were filed.

Chapel Hill
  • Terry Lewis Lassiter, 52, of 404 Jones Ferry Road in Carrboro, was arrested Monday and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, misdemeanor possession of schedule VI drugs, driving with a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.
  • Bobby Lee Davis, 34, of 1208 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Unit 420, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony possession of marijuana. According to a police report, Davis was found with 58 grams of marijuana.
  • Gregory Darnell Rone, 30, of 4A Adelaide Walters St., was arrested Tuesday and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. According to a police report, Rone had 7.5 grams of marijuana.
  • Jerry Lee Farrington, 63, of 110 West Main St. in Carrboro, was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest, according to a police report.
  • An $850 computer was stolen from a mobile classroom at East Chapel Hill High School sometime between Sept. 26 and Sept. 28, according to a report filed Wednesday.
  • Someone stole 54 bottles of aspirin and $170 of Axe Body Spray from Food Lion on North Fordham Boulevard on Wednesday.
  • Patrick Levon Satterwhite, 30, of 811 Shannon Drive in Durham, was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony possession of schedule I drugs and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Charron Chevilia Clemons, 32, of 5404 Hadrian Drive in Durham, was in the car with Satterwhite and was also arrested and charged with felony possession of schedule I drugs. According to a police report, the two men had 11 grams of methamphetamine in the car, and police confiscated 70 "miscellaneous pills" and a 9-millimeter firearm, according to police reports. Both men were held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $3,500 bail each.
  • Someone threw eggs and pimento cheese at a car in a Homestead Road apartment complex on Wednesday.
  • A 2002 Toyota 4Runner, valued at $10,000, was stolen from Coolidge Street on Wednesday.
  • Oneal Felder, Jr., 50, of 800 Pritchard Ave. Ext. Unit C9, was arrested Thursday and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
  • Someone assaulted an employee of Jiffy Lube on West Franklin Street on Thursday and left without paying for their $30 oil change.
  • Heather Marie Gates, 31, of 9513 Gates Lane, was arrested in Durham on Thursday and charged with eight counts of felony larceny and one count of misdemeanor larceny. According to a police report, Gates is believed to be responsible for numerous thefts of jewelry from elderly women at The Cedars of Chapel Hill retirement community. Gates was employed as a housekeeper for The Cedars at the time. Residents of the community continued to file reports of stolen items this week. A 73-year-old Cedar Berry Lane resident reported Monday that a necklace and bracelet with a total value of $19,000 were stolen from her home in June. A $500 gold necklace was stolen from a Cedar Breeze Lane home in August, a resident reported Tuesday, and a $500 gold bracelet was stolen from an 82-year-old Cedar Club Circle resident in July, the victim reported on Tuesday.
  • Home thefts reported this week:
    Eight jewelry items and a tie were stolen from a closet in a Village Crossing Drive residence. Someone stole a computer cord, an iPod, $140 cash, a digital camera and a Jesus magnet from a West Franklin Street apartment during a party. A $7,000 antique wooden hutch was stolen from a Sugarberry Road home. Someone entered a Lake Ellen Drive residence through the kitchen window and stole a digital camera and a laptop. Six jewelry items, with a total value of $3,300, and $750 cash were stolen from an Edgewater Circle residence.
  • Vehicle break-ins:
    Someone "used an unknown tool in an attempt to defeat a door lock" of a vehicle on North Graham Street, causing $75 damage to the door. A wallet containing three credit cards and $100 cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Plant Road on Wednesday. Someone broke the window of a car on Meadowmont Village Circle and stole a check card and two credit cards from a purse. Four mud guards, valued at $400, were stolen from a car in a Pinegate Circle parking lot on Monday. A window was broken and a memory card, a handbag, a credit card wallet, two credit or debit cards, a social security card, a driver's license and a checkbook were stolen from a vehicle on Erwin Road. A purse was stolen from the unlocked trunk of a car on Weaver Dairy Road on Monday.
