CARRBORO
• Gabriel Aquino Garcia, 24, of 306 Estes Drive Extension Unit Q3, was arrested Monday and charged with driving without a license and possession of a fraudulent ID, according to a police report.
• Someone used a debit card belonging to a resident of Palm Harbor, Fla., at CVS Pharmacy on North Greensboro Street on Monday. The victim said she has no connections to the Carrboro area. The purchase totaled $417.85.
• Someone made a threatening phone call to Domino's Pizza on East Main Street on Tuesday. A caller was angry that a pizza could not be delivered to their address and told an employee, "If you don't deliver me a pizza, I am going to come down there and shoot up the place."
• The principal of Carrboro Elementary School reported Wednesday that a bat was in the building's lobby. Officers put the bat in a box and took it to the Orange County Animal Shelter.
• An armed robbery was reported near the intersection of Main Street and Greensboro Street on Thursday evening. No further details were available.
• Ralph Jan Thompson, 29, of 501 Jones Ferry Road Unit U9, was arrested Thursday and charged with breaking and entering, according to a report.
• Terry Lewis Lassiter, 53, of 404 Jones Ferry Road Unit H8, was arrested Friday and charged with felony possession of marijuana, according to a report.
• Home break-ins:
Someone broke a window and entered a Manor Ridge Drive home, stealing a number of unidentified items. A vacant Commons Way home was broken into and carpeting was damaged by cigarette burns in two of the bedrooms, a real estate agent reported Thursday. Someone used a flat tool such as a credit card to enter a Broad Street residence on Thursday while the resident was home and steal his keys.
CHAPEL HILL
• Ronald Marshall Simpson Jr., 36, of 751 Trinity Court Unit A8, was arrested Tuesday and charged with communicating threats, felony possession of a weapon on school property and felony possession of a weapon by a felon. According to a police report, a gun was found in Simpson's car while it was parked at Culbreth Middle School. The school was locked down until Simpson was removed from the property.
• Chrystal Nicole Kennedy, 26, of 404 Jones Ferry Road Unit H9 in Carrboro, was arrested Wednesday and charged with felony larceny of chose in action, misdemeanor forgery and felony uttering forgery. According to a police report, Kennedy attempted to cash a stolen check for $480 at Bank of America on Banks Drive.
• Roger Lewis Scott, 46, of 100 W. Rosemary St., was arrested Wednesday and charged with shoplifting, according to a report.
• Donna Marie Chiaramonte, 51, of 128 Johnson St. Unit 1, was arrested Thursday and charged with misdemeanor larceny and felony possession of schedule II drugs with intent to distribute. According to a police report, Chiaramonte had oxycodone. Police also arrested Sharon Butler, 49, also of 128 Johnson St. Unit 1, and charged her with felony possession of schedule II drugs.
• Thokgamo Shadreck, 20, of 220 Bluefield Road, was arrested Thursday and charged with 21 counts of felony larceny by employee and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. According to a police reports, officers discovered numerous warrants for Shadreck's arrest when he was stopped for running a red light.
• Joseph Eric Drummond, 38, of 2709 Owens St. in Durham, was arrested Thursday and charged with shoplifting, misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen goods. According to a police report, Drummond stole four steaks from Food Lion on North Fordham Boulevard.
• Duke student Michael Lawrence Howell, 21, of Alexandria, Va., was arrested Friday and charged with public urination. According to a police report, Howell was caught urinating on the dance floor at Mansion Nightclub on West Franklin Street.
• Jason Robert Lucas, 31, who gave his address as 10012 Crew, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while impaired and speeding 57 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to a report.
• Denise Ann Morris, 42, of 1520 E. Franklin St. Unit C101, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while impaired, according to a report.
• Home break-ins this week:
Someone entered a Scott Lane residence through the bedroom window and stole a TV, a phone, an iPod and two computers. The rear door of a Bluefield Road residence was opened with an object and two TVs, a game console, an MP3 player and a laptop were stolen.
• Vehicle break-ins:
A satellite radio was stolen from an unlocked truck on Oldham Place. Someone stole a car stereo from a car on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle on Melville Loop when someone pried open a window. A car stereo was stolen from another car on Melville Loop. Someone stole an iPod, $20 cash and a backpack from a vehicle on McCauley Street. Forty CDs, iPod headphones and a flashlight were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on McCauley Street. Someone broke the windows of six cars on Bolinwood Drive and stole the car radios from two of them.
