• Maximino Moreno Campero, 30, of 401 N.C. 54 Unit B37, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony obstructing justice, according to a report.

• A 26-year-old man reported Wednesday that a man threw a coat hanger at him from a car window while he was riding his bike on West Rosemary Street.

• Someone stole or damaged a number of mailboxes on Winsome Lane on Wednesday night.

• Someone broke into an Oak Avenue residence on Wednesday night through an unlocked window and attempted to steal a TV, but left it in the yard.

• The window of a car on East Main Street was broken on Thursday and a GPS unit and satellite radio were stolen.

• Police arrested three people this week and charged them with driving while impaired in separate incidents: William Daniels Hayes, 21, of 1812 Rolling Road in Chapel Hill; Sara Rae Timmons, 16, of 1000 Smith Level Road Unit B2; and Matthys Nicholas Dutoit, 18, of 105 Jones Creek Place in Chapel Hill.

CHAPEL HILL

• An unsecured 2002 Acura 3.2TL was stolen Monday from an Old Durham Road parking lot.

• Someone broke into Bub O'Malley's on East Rosemary Street on Monday night and stole $100 cash and $500 worth of tobacco products.

• A Sunrise Lane resident reported Monday that she received a letter with suspicious white powder inside.

• Someone broke the window of Orange County Disability on West Franklin Street on Monday and stole two computers and a Power Point projector.

• Police received a report Monday that someone was punching and hitting a dog while driving on Weaver Dairy Road.

• Travis Stephen Davis, 30, of Willow Springs, was arrested Tuesday and charged with being a fugitive and driving with a suspended or revoked license. According to a police report, Davis was stopped for a hit and run accident when police discovered that he was wanted for burglary charges in Florida.

• Daniel Lawrence Pollitt, 17, of 2546 Booker Creek Road, was arrested Tuesday and charged with driving while impaired. According to a police report, his blood alcohol level was 0.11.

• Roderick Eugene Russell, 48, of 708 Church St. Unit A, was arrested Wednesday and charged with simple assault. According to a police report, he punched his father and knocked him down on Caldwell Street.

• A Chapel Hill Library employee reported Wednesday that someone requested "questionable material" and acted suspicious.

• A 54-year-old homeless man was struck on the head with a chair Wednesday evening on West Franklin Street.

• Christina Gayle Geist, 31, of Burlington, was arrested Wednesday and charged with driving while impaired, speeding, making an improper lane change and driving with an expired registration.

• Someone broke a window and unsuccessfully tried to enter the Mini Mart on Old Durham Road on Thursday.

• Alphonso Clark, 55, of 175 Hayes St. in Hillsborough, was arrested Thursday and charged with carrying a concealed weapon. According to a police report, Clark had two knives and pair of brass knuckles.

• Police received a report early Friday morning of a disturbance at a Roberson Street home in which someone was assaulted.

• Home break-ins this week:

Someone kicked in the front door of an Ephesus Church Road residence on Monday and stole TV or stereo equipment and a jewelry box. A laptop was stolen Monday from a Milton Avenue home. And someone tried to jimmy the lock cylinder in the door of an Ashley Forest Road apartment, but was unsuccessful.

• Vehicle break-ins:

A purse and $15 cash was stolen from a car on Newcastle Drive. Someone stole a green card and a passport from a car on North Lakeshore Drive. And the window of a car on South Estes Drive was broken and a GPS system was stolen.
