CHAPEL HILL -- Heels4Hire, a Triangle-based service company, and Kappa Sigma fraternity at UNC-Chapel Hill will sponsor a benefit concert Tuesday, April 22, at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro. All proceeds from the event, "An EVE the Carolina Way", will be donated to the Eve Carson Memorial Fund.

Doors to the show will open at 8 p.m., with the first band beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets will be available Monday and Tuesday for $10 in the Pit on the UNC-CH campus and for $12 Tuesday night at Cat's Cradle. Three local bands, Tobacco Road, Franklin and the Doo Rags, and AlphaMusic, the Kappa Sigma fraternity house band, will perform.

Ed Gronet, founder of Heels4Hire, says the concert is one way to celebrate Carson's life and ensure her inspirational message is carried forward.

"We're lucky that Eve was a part of our family here at UNC," Gronet said. "Her passion, dedication and love for her community have been an inspiration to us all."

The event marks the second year Heels4Hire and Kappa Sigma have co-hosted a benefit at Cat's Cradle. Last year, a concert held for the Amani Children's Foundation, raised more than $1,600.
