Bradshaw Babb Lupton of Hermitage, Tenn., and formerly of Chapel Hill, died April 17. He was 82.

He served in the Navy in World War II and received a bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico. He had a long career with Union Carbide and then with a Dutch company called Fluidiks as a chemical engineer before retiring.

A memorial service is planned for June 22 at University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill.

Survivors include a daughter, Martha Leary of Hermitage, Tenn.; a son, Bradshaw Lupton Jr. of Shrewsbury, Mass.; and three grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice of Nashville, Tenn., or to the American Cancer Society.
