Peggy B. Jones
Peggy Bray Jones, age 87, of Asheboro died June 8 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Funeral services were held June 11 at Asheboro First Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Mark C. Beane and the Rev. A.J. Kendrick officiating. Burial followed in Randolph Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jones was a native of Randolph County and was retired from the Asheboro City School System. She was a member of Asheboro First Wesleyan Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence V. Jones, and her daughter-in-law, Marla Jones. Peggy was an avid cook and gardener, and kept up with current events. Her biggest joy was being a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Rumble and husband Shawn of Concord; Priscilla Ragsdell and husband Gary of High Point; Sandra Webb and husband Jerry of Oxford, Miss.; son, Larry Jones of Chapel Hill; grandchildren, Brittany and Nicole Rumble, Ben Jones, April and Brian Ragsdell; Amy Yannelli and husband Joe, Todd Webb; and great-grandson, Joseph Yannelli.

Lincoln Baugus, son of Susan Lackey and Brian Baugus, died June 9 at the age of 37 after a long illness.
Born April 24, 1972, Lincoln grew up in Charlotte and Chapel Hill and served proudly in the United States Navy. He loved the sea and was happiest on his ship, surfing in California, and at Pawleys Island, S.C. His other great love was music. Lincoln was a versatile musician and gifted poet.
Lincoln is survived by his parents; his daughter Hunter of California; brothers Hunter, Jake and Henry; stepmother Janet; grandparents Robert and Julia Lackey; grandmother Louise Newsome; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and an abundance of devoted friends.
Celebrations of Lincoln's life will be held privately by family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the Ocean Conservancy.
