Charles Wilson Tesh of Pittsboro died April 16 at Duke Hospital. He was 73.

He was born in Forsyth County and was retired from the State of North Carolina. He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was a 33rd degree Mason, was a member of Columbus Lodge 102 AF & AM in Pittsboro, and was a member of the Scottish and York Rite of Greensboro Valley.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Parker Tesh; a son, Charles Wilson Tesh Jr. of King; two daughters, Annette T. Harris of Pittsboro and Kathy T. Roundtree Durham; and four grandchildren.

A celebration of his life was conducted April 19 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Owens. Interment, with Masonic rites, was in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to either the Chatham County Council on Aging, 365 N.C. 87 North, Pittsboro, N.C. 27312; or to Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 269 Manns Chapel Road, Pittsboro, N.C. 27312.
