Bobby Lee Lindley of Siler City died May 3 at Chatham Hospital. He was 71.

He was a native of Chatham County and worked for Orange Builders in Chapel Hill. He was a member of the Ruritan Club in Silk Hope and a member of South Fork Friends Meeting.

A celebration of his life was conducted Tuesday, May 6, at Rocky River Baptist Church by the Rev. Gregg Burriss and the Rev. David Hobson.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Covert Lindley of Siler City; a daughter, Sharon Lindley Bowers of Pittsboro; a son, Jamie Covert Lindley of Siler City; a stepson, Tony Gordon Wright of Siler City; a stepdaughter, Tammy Wright Bass of Wilson; his mother, Elsie Moon Lindley of Pittsboro; a sister, Elaine Lebuhn of New Providence, N.J.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
