Please permit me to add to Jesse James DeConto's story on Betsy Harris (CHN July 15). Betsy's photo work is exceptional, and I have approximately 100 photos made by her of international entertainers including George Hamilton IV, George Hamilton V, Mike Loudermilk and John D. Loudermilk. They have done local fund-raising concerts for Habitat for Humanity at the University Baptist Church.

Budget office says plan will save money

In a recent article in the New York Times (July 6), Paul Krugman points out that the Congressional Budget Office's most recent analysis finds that the administration's health care proposals will provide universal coverage, while saving the nation vast sums in the long run. (The article should be reprinted in every newspaper.)

Krugman also remarks that if the conservative Democrats, because of their fealty to the insurance lobbies, fail to support these proposals, they will have betrayed their party and their own consciences.
