The Skinny: Named for his father, George Spears Sr., who died about eight years ago, Spears Jr. kept his last name when his mother later remarried. Along with his family, he loves football intensely. He played at Hargrave Military Academy before coming back to Chapel Hill and playing at CHHS. He transferred back into the East Chapel Hill district this semester, and is spending long hours this spring in the ECH weight room.
