The Orange High School Panthers and the East Chapel Hill Wildcats were among 16 teams participating in the annual “Jammin’ on the Hill,” tournament, which is in its third official year and spawned from a yearly jamboree the Wildcats have hosted since 2002. The tournament, which finishes July 13, gives high school teams a chance to gauge their talent against other top prep squads as well as to showcase their abilities in front of college coaches. Tickets for an all-day pass to the July 13 championship round cost $3. That includes the remaining pool play, which will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the playoffs in the afternoon. Quarterfinal games are slated for 2 and 2:55 p.m. with the semifinals being played at 4:15 and the final at 5:30.
