If I couldn’t play field hockey: my dream sport is ice hockey. I want to be a goalie.

After high school: Committed last year to play at the University of Iowa.

Why Iowa: “I visited there as a junior. The instant I stepped on the campus, I turned to my dad and said, ‘This is where I want to be.’ It was just automatic. And Iowa is the only school that has a major in Radiation Sciences, and I want to work in radiology someday.”

Favorite food: Dolmades … stuffed grape leaves.

Biggest moment in sports: “Playing on the gold medal team at the Junior Olympics. I had been on the winning team two years before, but broke my hand and

didn’t get to play at all in New Orleans. Winning it all (in Knoxville, 2007) was something I really enjoyed.”

Eat in or dine out: out … Sal’s Italian on MLK Blvd.

Most famous person I’ve met: Mickey Mouse at Disney World.

Favorite TV show: Gilmore Girls.

Athlete I admire: Rod Brind’Amour, the Carolina Hurricanes.

Four people I’d invite to dinner: Brind’Amour, Alexis Bledel (‘Rory’ of Gilmore Girls), teammate Kerry Kiddoo and UNC field hockey player Danielle Forword of South Africa. (We train together in the off-season. … she calls me “American Sister.”)

If I had three hours: “I’d try to be alone. I really value my ‘alone’ time.”

My car: White VW convertible, “top down, music up, loud, me singing.”

On my iPod right now: The Avent Brothers.

Dream vacation: Somewhere on the Mediterranean. “I’m a hot-weather person.”

Favorite Movie: Breakfast Club.

I couldn’t live without: “It’s either my iPod or my shoes. I have a lot of shoes. … I’m the ‘girliest’ athlete you’re ever going to see.”

Unless you ask: “You wouldn’t know how much I love high school. I’ve enjoyed all three years and nine weeks so far.”
