Cardinal Gibbon, ranked No. 11 nationally, defeated Chapel Hill for the fourth time this year to advance to Tuesday's NCHSAA 3A East Regional final at D.H. Conley. Christina Dorismond and Avery Striebel each collected 11 kills and Madison Bugg added 8 kills, 6 aces, 9 assists and 6 digs. Gibbons hit 39 kills on 65 attempts.
