Class: Madison, 18, is a senior looking at the University of North Carolina, Penn State and Virginia; Chelsey, 15, is a sophomore.

Parents: Robin and Chad Stark. The family moved here from the Dakotas just when Madison was ready for high school.

The Skinny: CHHS is off to a good start in soccer this spring, and sisters Madison and Chelsey are part of the reason, says coach Ron Benson. "With them, it's always 'Let me do it,' or 'I'm ready to go right now.' They never look for an excuse. They never want to be idle." Though both are talented, hard-working and like soccer, they don't share the same preferences on everything.

Favorite subject: Madison, biology -- Chelsey, history.

Before every game: Madison likes to "listen to music;" Chelsey eats "bagels, lots of carbs."

Favorite food: Madison, ice cream -- Chelsey, raspberry Popsicles.

Madison's favorite movie: Pirates of the Caribbean ("all of them"); Chelsey's: Anchorman.

If Chelsey didn't play soccer, she would: "try rock climbing." Madison would: "run cross-country." (She placed fourth individually at last fall's NCHSAA championship meet, helping the CHHS female harriers win their third straight 4-A championship.)

Madison can't live without: Harry Potter. Chelsey can't live without: soccer.

Madison's secret fear: ticks. Chelsey's: slugs.

Chelsey wishes she could: stop procrastinating. Madison wishes: skipping homework was okay.

Dream vacation spot: Chelsey, New Zealand -- Madison, the beach.

But ... the sisters are spending spring break in Central America, working on housing for under-privileged people in Guatemala.

Coach Benson says: "That's just like them. They are always doing the right thing, the right way. They just enjoy doing stuff. They are a pleasure to coach."
