RUNNING -- DUKE DPT 5K: The Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2010 is sponsoring the Fourth Annual DPT 5K on the campus of Duke University. The race date is Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. The race benefits Easter Seals, UCP of North Carolina, which provides direct physical therapy services for children and adults with disabilities, in addition to raising physical therapy awareness and promoting fitness in the community. The event will include a certified USATF 5K run/walk, a Kid's Fun Run and post-festivities, including raffles and door prizes, as well as free therapeutic massages. CYCLING -- Habitat Halloween 100: The fifth annual "spook-tacular" Halloween 100 benefits Habitat for Humanity of Durham.
