ALL SPORTS

RSC Multi-Sports -- Ridgewood Swim Club in Chapel Hill is hosting a number of camps this summer including Introduction to Volleyball, Mini Ballers Basketball Camp, Junior Jazzercise, Kids on the Go, and Volleyball for Middle Schoolers. Camps are open to both members and non-members. BASEBALL

Wildcat Baseball Camp -- Rising fourth- through 10th-graders are encouraged to register for the East Chapel Hill Baseball Camp, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, June 30-July 3 at Wildcat Baseball Stadium. The purpose of the camp is to teach each camper the basic fundamentals of baseball through lecture, demonstration and practice. The cost is $80 per camper if registered before June 20, $100 afterwards. For more information, call coach Phil Woodell at 969-2482, ext. 326.


BASKETBALL

Hoops at East Academy -- The 13th annual "Hoops at East" Summer Basketball Academy will host two sessions at East Chapel Hill High School for rising third- through ninth-graders: July 7-11 and July 21-25. Hoops at East is a full day camp, running 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more information, or to have a camp application mailed or e-mailed to your home, call coach Ray Hartsfield at or 969-2482, ext. 250, or 919-638-5717.

Smith 4-C Camp -- Registration has opened for the 19th annual 4-C Basketball Camp July 7-11 at Smith Middle School. Designed for rising fifth- through seventh-graders, the camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The registration fee is $90, and it includes the cost of a souvenir camp T-shirt. The Edge -- Daily sessions will run 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., July 21-25, at Chapel Hill High School. The camp is open to all students rising this summer to grades 3-9 at any school. FIELD HOCKEY

Tiger Field Hockey Camp -- will be led by CHHS head coach Diego Caballero and assistant coach Xan Funk, (just off UNC's 2007 NCAA championship year) Designed for players 6-14 year old, the camp will run 1-5 p.m. July 28-30 on the CHHS practice field. The fee is $80, and includes a camp T-shirt and snacks. Checks should be payable to: CHHS Field Hockey and sent to: CHHS Field Hockey Camp, c/o Diego Caballero 1709 High School Rd., Chapel Hill, NC 27516. FOOTBALL

Tiger Mini camp will be held on July 28-31, 5-8 p.m. each day on the CHHS campus The cost is free to all athletes that are planning on attending Chapel Hill High and playing football during the 2008 season. Wildcat Mini Camp for high school and rising 9th-graders interested in playing at East Chapel Hill next fall, will be July 8-11. Any student-athlete can attend the free camp, which will go 6-8:30 p.m. those days at East Chapel Hill. (A summer 7-on-7 game has been scheduled for July 19 against Southern Vance.) LACROSSE

East's Catalax -- East Chapel Hill High School lacrosse coach Franklin Zirkle will host three summer Catalax lacrosse camps. The first Catalax Camp will be held June 16-18 in the mornings at East Chapel Hill High. The second is an over nightcamp at Guilford College. The Catalax Quaker Camp runs from July 13-16 and features an excellent staff in a safe and exciting setting. The final camp will be held in the evenings Aug. 4-6 at Phillip's Middle School. ROPE JUMPING

Bouncing Bulldogs -- The Bouncing Bulldogs will hold summer camps during eight different weeks this summer: June 9-13, June 16-20, June 23-25 (a three-day mini camp), July 1-4 (four-day camp), July 7-11, July 14-18, July 21-25, July 28-30 (three-day mini camp), and Aug 18-22. All sessions will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bulldogs Gym at Rams Plaza. All full-week sessions are $150 per week. The four-day camps are $120 per week, and the three-day mini-camp sessions are $90 per week. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt. For more information call 933-7992 or e-mail ittojump@aol.com.

Skipsations Camp -- Three sessions of Skipsations camp will be held this summer: June 16-20, July 14-18 and Aug. 11-14. Daily sessions will be held 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the McDougle Elementary School Gym. The five-day June and July sessions are $165 per camper, and the four-day August camp is $32. SOCCER

Futbol Total -- The annual Futbol Total camp at East Chapel Hill High School will run 8 a.m. to noon July 14-17. Sessions will plavce emphasis on individual skills and game tactics. The cost before July 1 is $100. For more information, call camp director Mark Kadlecik at ECH, 969-2482, ext. 323.

CHHS summer soccer -- The co-ed Soccer Summer Camp at Chapel Hill High School will have two sessions, running 8:30 a.m. to noon both weeks. Session No. 1, July 21-25, is for grades 3-12, with campers divided into appropriate skill groups, and offers instruction on individual tactics and ball skills; it costs $100. Session No. 2, July 28-Aug. 1, at $65, is for grades 7-12, and offers more physical training aimed at those wishing to get in shape for their school or select teams. Que Jueguen las Ninas -- "Let The Girls Plays" will offer free soccer clinics for 6-13 year olds at East Chapel Hill High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m., June 17-July 10. Practice sessions will be run by East Chapel Hill varsity soccer players and special guest coaching by a former member of the U.S. Women's National Team.
