During the season's final Last Fridays celebration in downtown Hillsborough, the Hillsborough Gallery of Art, 121 N. Churton St., will open a new exhibition with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. "Empirical Wanderings" features paintings by Linda Carmel, jewelry by Mirinda Kossoff and blown glass by Pringle Teetor. The show will run through Oct. 24.
