Angela Shelton, one of the nation's most prominent advocates for survivors of sexual and domestic abuse, will be here this weekend for several events. Shelton will conduct a Nia Jam with Kate Finlayson of the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department on Friday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at the Carrboro Century Center. Saturday, Shelton will discuss her own experience and host a screening of her award-winning documentary film, 'Searching for Angela Shelton,' at 5 p.m. in the auditorium of the UNC School of Social Work, Tate Turner Kuralt Building.
